May brings Mother's Day and Fun Fun fun!!

This year has been full of first for Brandon and I.  One first that just happened not too long ago was my 1st Mother's Day. It's still seems unreal to me!  Me... a mommy!!! Sometimes I just look at Randy and Lexy and ask myself... are these two beautiful babies really mine? I have never been so happy!  These two make my life complete!

Back to mother's day... it will definitely be one to put in the books.  Not only because it was my first, but because it was absolutely perfect!  The morning started off by going to church and then we came back home and had a BBQ here at the house.  It was GREAT!!!  Brandon BBQed and cleaned up.  I didn't have to do anything.  I got to spend my time with my babies!  He got me a very unexpected gift and I thank him for it! And my sister made a glass vase with my babies hand prints on it.  I LOVE IT!!! It was just perfect!!!  And on that day my babies turned 8 months old!!  I can't believe it; they are already 8 months old!!!  Time is just flying by so crazy fast!!

Happy 1st Mother's Day!!!

Lexy, 8 months old!!

Lexy is all over the place right now!  She's crawling all over the place, pulling herself up on everything, and just about climbing out of the playpen (yes, I said playpen!!  LOL).  Who knows, she may even be walking soon.  She's not afraid of anything and loves to try new things.  She'll pull herself up on something and let go to see how long she can stand on her own.  I'm just waiting to see when she decides to take that first step. She's got 2 teeth, both on the bottom front and I think another one is coming in.  I've heard her say dada, mama and lots of other little vowel sounds! :)  She reaches for people, she claps, and she waves at you bye bye!! She makes the absolutely cutest faces, which of course every time I go to catch it on camera, she stops.  My little girl is growing up so quick!!  It's crazy how much stuff she is doing.  I've been slowly baby proofing the house.  Gates have been up on the stairs since she started crawling, now it's time for outlet covers, and soon, the things to keep the cabinet doors closed.  She's in size 2 diapers and looks like she'll be starting size 3's at night probably tonight and she's wearing size 6-9 clothes, but can still fit into a lot of her 3-6 and some 0-3.  She's a petite lil thing!!

Randy, 8 months old!

Randy is my little chill boy!  He is content where ever and when ever! He's so ticklish, everywhere!  I can even tickle him on his cheeks (on his face) and he just giggles!!  He's got the most sincere smile and laugh!  It just melts my heart.  He's sitting up on his own.  He started doing it really well this month.  No support and he's able to sit up on his own and stay there for a long time.  His favorite thing do is to sit with his bunkers (lol that's what Cristine calls it, pillows all around him to catch him in case he falls) and play with his toys! I've heard him say dada, mama, and lots of other little vowel sounds.  He's started reaching up for people last week.  He's starting to clap.  And he loves figuring out lots of different sounds and spit noises to make out of his mouth.  Along with that, he's starting to scoot around on his tummy!!  So excited... looks as thought he might be army crawling soon!  And I think he might be getting close to getting his first tooth.  He's my big little boy!! Growing like a weed.  He's in size 3 diapers... and quickly moving into 4's.  And he's wearing size 12 month clothes. (he completely passed up 6-9, went from 3-6 skipped 6-9 and now in 12 months!)

On May 11, I went on a trip to San Francisco with the 8th grade class and we went to Pier 39 and Alcatraz.  While I was there, I some stuff that the twins just had to have.... well, ok, I just had to have! :)  I found these little jail bird onsies and doggies and bought them for the twins!  They look so cute on them!!  Lexy's fits her pretty good, but Randy has a little bit to grow into his.  And they LOVE their puppies!!  It says that they were rejected from Alcatraz because they are TOO CUTE!!!

Today, May 21, 2011 was the Annual Chowchilla Parade!!  I was so excited because this is something that I go watch every year and this year I was able to take my babies!!!  It was so fun and so exciting for me and the twins!   We got to see daddy in the fire engine, Aunt Diana in the Dairyland School Band, and Uncle Joseph in the High School Marching Band.  They babies loved watching the parade.  Lexy loved the music and stopped what she was doing when the band went by. Randy liked the cars and the sounds they made!!

In going to the parade, we had to take daddy's cool HUGE chair!!  People would stop and stare!!  It worked out great because I was selling Pink BBQ tickets and I sold to some people who stopped by to look at the chair!!  :-) (Way to go Kelsey!!!  Buy Pink!!)

Randy sitting in Daddy's chair, watching the parade in style!!

Lexy, waiting for the parade to start!

Lexy fell asleep right as the parade ended and thought daddy's chair was way comfortable!!

May, has been such an exciting month with lots of 1sts and lots of memories!  I'm so happy that I'm able to write this blog and keep record of all that is going on!!  I love looking back seeing all the wonderful things these babies have brought to our lives and how much they are growing.  I love you babies!!!
